An unwelcome
visitor, cancer arrives at the doorstep and we shutter when we
open the door and he stares us in the face. Cancer preys on mothers,
fathers, sons and daughters, not caring who it resides within,
cancer is a selfish and uncompassionate caller. When Gene was
diagnosed with cancer he was given four weeks to two months to
live. He died five days later. “Passages” is my imaginative
depiction of the journey to the next world, the next stage of
our being. Gene and the others that join him are walking this
path to the next place in time. We never walk alone; we are surrounded
by souls making the same journey.
