BLACK HOLES MAKE ME THINK OF LIGHT
Charles Ross | exploding paints on paper | 1997

The artist depicts the concept of black holes based on imagery taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. Light waves are represented by the three wavy filaments. Two of the waves are captured and bent and essentially pulled into the black hole. The third has still managed to escape. Ross used dynamite primer cord to represent the light waves and the
exploded powdered pigment onto wet paper.
